The Best Hockey Movies of All Time

You may have spent years checking stats and watching games but are you familiar with the best hockey movies of all time? You can catch most of these rerunning on Direct satellite or even basic cable so you’ve really got no excuse to not have seen any of these classics…
Miracle: Chronicling the USA team’s pounding of the Russian National Team decades ago at the close of the Olympics, Miracle hit theaters in 2004. It’s got a great cast and you’ll be hard pressed to find a more inspirational message.
Slap Shot: A 1970s classic, Slap Shot has a lot of big name actors (think Paul Newman) and a lot of drama. You’ll get more backstory here than hockey but it’s worth it when the storylines are as riveting as these.
The Mighty Ducks: Who doesn’t love the Ducks? All the way from the early 90s this film spawned a mess of additional movies and made kids everywhere love hockey. It’s great for families to watch together and it’s even got Emilio Estevez! What’s not to like?
