Sponsored by Wheaties Cereal and Crown Brand Corn Syrup, this is an 8 part series, mid 1940’s production. This set originally belonged to an old hockey school in British Columbia, Canada and is a series of instructional films dealing with the fundamentals of the game. These were mostly shot on outdoor rinks, with lots of snow, probably shot in Ontario or Quebec, and there are a lot of old cars, spectators, etc. Besides being of great entertainment value, these films would still help teach the game today, even though they are 60 years old. Each film starts out with a 1 minute commercial for Wheaties and Crown Brand Syrup and the 8 films include: Skating 9:43, Stick Handling 6:13, Passing 6:11, Checking 6:23, Shooting 8:29, Goaltending 8:41, Offensive Team Play 11:42 and Defensive Team Play 11:34.
